Skipper - Peter Hopps

Nisida's full time Skipper is Peter Hopps. He is a fully qualified Ocean Yachtmaster and Instructor and has been sailing since he was a boy. He has cruised extensively in the UK, Mediterranean, Baltic Sea and the Caribbean. He is a also a successful racing skipper both inshore and offshore with many wins in RORC Races including being overall winner of the Channel Race in 2005. He has been a full time Instructor for over 10 years and is able to teach any level from absolute beginners right through to Ocean Yachtmasters.

London Corinthian Sailing Club

Peter Hopps is the chief instructor of London Corinthian Sailing Club - a Hammersmith based club with a large and active offshore section. See www.lcsc.org.uk for more details. Many of Nisida's crew, but not all, are members of LCSC.

Down below Nisida has a fully fitted cruising interior. She can sleep up to 12, has 2 heads, a galley with a 2-burner cooker and oven and a fridge. She is cleverly laid out with good stowage facilities; altogether very sensibly and comfortably arranged.

She is fully equipped with all the necessary safety gear including liferafts, lifejackets, distress flares and communications equipment. For cruising, she has an inflatable dinghy with an outboard motor, bathing ladder and an auto-pilot. The engine is 85 HP so you can motor quickly out of those annoying calms.

Cruising and Racing on Nisida

Nisida will be available for Skippered Charter on a weekly basis. She will also be available for people to take up individual berths and we have put together a varied and interesting programme for the 2006-7 season which will include racing and cruising.
