'Sam' got back to Hamble last week after a 29 day crossing from Antigua.
We had an excellent season in the Caribbean. At the end of January we did Grenada Sailing Week and managed 2nd in Class. This was follolwed by a cruise back to Antigua via Carriacou,
the Grenadines including Tobago Cays and Bequia, St. Lucia and Dominica. Then we had the RORC Caribbean 600 Race - the only serious offshore race in the Caribbean season;
we were very please to be 3rd in Class 3. This was immediately followed by the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta where we got 4th in Class.
Our final outing was the BVI Sprfing Regatta and Sailing Festival.
Our plan here was to race in a more relaxed way so opted to raced without a spinnaker. In the Sailing Festival we were 2nd in Cruising Class 2 in the Round Tortola Race and 3rd in the race to Scrub Island;
in the Spring Regatta we were 2nd in Jib and Main Class 2.
We're now back in Hamble and over the summer we will br running courses with London Corinthian Sailing Club as well as entering a selection of races.
